lectio + Visio Divina for epiphany

Beginning monday, January 6

This fall we'll reflect on passages of the Psalms that invite us to bring ourselves honestly to God. If you find yourself in a place of struggle and desiring to look to the BiblThe Lectio + Visio Divina series will pair Epiphany Scripture passages with corresponding artwork. Lectio divina ("holy reading") invites a reader to encounter God through slow and deliberate contemplation of a Scripture passage, while visio divina ("holy viewing") prompts the viewer to engage with God through a prayerful consideration of its visual pairing. In this group, participants will be invited to slowly take in a piece of Scripture and related artwork, inviting the Spirit to meet us deeply in our hearts, bodies, and minds through particular words, phrases, and facets of the image. We will also hold space to share what we notice with one another. The group will begin the evening of January 6th.
